Need to Upgrade Memory for MSI MB

I have a custom built Desktop PC with
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Motherboard MS-7915
Intel i5 4670 3.40 Ghz
Drive (C) 250 GB SSD
Drive (D) 500 Gb Sata
Nvidia GeForce 970 4Gb Dedicated memory
EVGA 1050 W Power Supply
Network Adapter Killer e2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller
CPU Cooling-- Storm Captain 240 Cpu liquid cooler
G.Skill Ripjaws X series 16Gb (4 X 4Gb 240-pin DDR3 SDRAM 1866
(PC3 14900
Need to know maximum amount of ram & speed w/o overclocking
I am getting windows errors running out of memory close all programs & restart them I have done 3 memory checks & all is fine
We do want to upgrade the Ram to 32 Gb 2800 if possible Any help is greatly appreciated ... Thank you

Let Windows manage the pagefile if you did adjust it manually, it could be reason why you're running into errors. I'd return it to default settings and reboot the pc.

Can see if Windows is recognising all memory in the System page in Control panel. ie picture below. If all memory is usable it wont have in brackets and an amount next to it like in picture. So in your case it would read like, Installed memory (RAM): 16.0GB

See if you can identify if Killer network driver is causing you grief, check that out by looking in task manager and locate the killernetwork.exe...

Thank you for letting me know about the killer Ethernet adapter I will try to update asap.. is it best to use XMP ? for my ram upgrade i been studying the link you posted for me Thank you again I will follow this post till i am ready to purchase . Boju I do not know if all 16 gb ram is being used & not sure how to find out. My page file is set to just shy of 16 gb & windows says i am running out of memory (not sure if that's an error) and says i need to restart all & i do I play ( 7 days to die )Thru Steam been playing it for years & last 30 days getting this low memory problem .

16GB is plenty of ram so i dont believe you're running out of ram under normal circumstances.

Edit; should mention, if there is an application like killernetwork causing memory leaks, having more ram wont solve and prevent the same error, it'll just take a little longer but will still happen.

Boju yes is shows 16Gb on that page for my PC.. I did find an update for the Killer e2200 Ethernet Driver and installed it manually, I will try this for a few days & keep you posted as to any more errors. I want to thank Both you & Vic 40 for your help, Vic said to start a thread but i am not sure how to do that. hope its ok to keep replying here, If not let me know please.

The next will monitor your ram usage and also other stuff like temps and voltages,

download hwinfo64,
install and open it,
check "sensors-only",
click "run".

If not checking "sensors only" will there be more it can show you and in the main window will sensors still be available at the left hand top.

If i am reading correctly at present even while in game 3.74 Gb ram is used But CPU is much higher with game open 52%to 90% jumps a lot :)

I think the Killer network driver update did the trick
