Question need to upgrade my 2500k

Currently i have intel i5-2500k with 8gb ram and 1660ti. I am planning on getting a new cpu. Is i3 9100F a good upgrade. Since i am low on budget

You should look at the AMD's Ryzen platform. It's got a better value for money. In fact, if you're looking for an entirely new build, please state what your current specs are. List them like so:

CPU : intel i5 2500k @3.30ghz
Motherboard : Asus LGA 1155 socket 2nd Gen (Maximus Gene 4) 9year old
RAM : 4 x 4GB Ram DDR3 (My 2 Ram slots are not working so PC has only 8GB ram)
HDD: 4 x Sata hard disk
GPU : 1660TI
PSU : Corsair 640W
Chasis: NZXT
OS: windows 7

Both CPU and Moba are 9 year old now. 2 out of 4 ram slots of moba are not working
