I want to stream and game at the same time so I was looking to upgrade my pc. I noticed that the current case that I have, the corsair spec-01 is fairly loud and I was looking into getting a case that was a lot quieter. After doing some research it looks like AMD is the best option in terms of value and performance when streaming while playing games.

I currently have:

Cpu: i5 4690k

Ram: 2x4 gb DDR3 Crucial

Gpu: gtx 1060 6gb

Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo

Case: Corsair Spec-01

PSU: CX 650M

This is what I've come up with so far:

Cpu: Ryzen 7 2700 ($200)

MOBO: ASRock - X370 Pro4 ATX AM4 Motherboard ($70)

Ram: ADATA - XPG GAMMIX D10 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($77)

Case: be quiet! - Dark Base 700 ATX Mid Tower Case ($170)

I could pick up the 2700x for $260 but I did some research and with manual overclocking I think I could hit 4.1 or 4.2 ghz after manual OC with my old hyper 212 EVO which would be about the same as the 2700x. Just wondering if what I have here is good or if I should wait for Ryzen 3000 series processors. Also is there a better case or at least one with similar performance for a cheaper price? $170 is quite a lot for a case.

Solution
You would be fine with even a ryzen 5 2600 if your just going to game in 1080p but I would consider going with a faster ram since amd cpus performes better with faster ram. 3000mhz should be fine.
