Need to upgrade to run Battlefield Bad Company: 2

Hey all, just wondering what the cheapest way to approach upgrading my old beast.

Hoping to reuse as many parts as possible,

Current System Spec's.
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+ (Codename Venice)
Ram: 2gb DDR
Mainboard: ASUS A8N-SLI SE
GFX: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
PSU: ATX12V PK-500 (500w)
HDD: Western Digital Black 1TB

Interested in the i7's, if I can pickup one w/ a compatible motherboard & ram for a reasonable price.

Would like the system to last at least 2 years before needing another overhaul.
