Need to vet this PC build

I have narrowed down my new PC configuration as below. Could you please take a look over it and let me know if there are any glaring incompatibilities and/or better choices (at a similar price range, I've mentioned the prices).

Processor: Intel i7 4790 Cpu (Rs 19,850 / $330)
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A (Rs 12,600 / $210)
PSU: Antec TP- 750C (Rs 6,400 / $107)
GPU: Asus R9 280X (Rs 22,700 / $377)
RAM: Kingston 4gb Hyper X (x2) (Rs 2800 / $47) * 2
HDD: WD Caviar Green 2TB (Rs 5,300 / $88)
SSD: Samsung 256GB SSD (840 Pro series) (Rs 12,800 / $213)
Cabinet: NZXT-H440 (Rs 8000 / $133)

Total value of the system: Rs 93,000(approx) / $1548(approx)

As for the use cases, gaming is an obvious choice, there will also be considerable development work (I'm a programmer), though not graphic design. I do plan to get a 1440p monitor and am open to suggestions. Please do keep in mind that I live in Mumbai (India).

It looks good. One consideration since you are in India - opt for the NZXT 'Kraken' - or some other water cooling option. Sure the case comes with 4 fans - but it does tend to get a bit warm in Mumbai.

Also - depending on the level of programming need - and your operating system - you may want to consider going up to 16GB of memory in 8GBx2 modules. But then you likely thought of that yourself and the 8GB is a compromise at this time.

I personally avoid green drives. They are more about power savings than performance. But if that is what you need then it is a good fit. So this is just preference.

And just be aware the H440 has no optical drive bay. So again, if this is what you need it is a good fit.

If those 2 items are in harmony with your goals then it is solid.

@avarice and @maddogfargo - thank you for your quick responses. The RAM is a compromise as of now, but the MOBO has 4 memory slots, so does it make much of a difference if i just go 4x4 GB? Also, the no optical drive is by choice. I don't remember the last time I used a CD/DVD/Blue ray. The green - well that's primarily because I have no knowledge of HDDs in general.

memory of 4x4 makes no difference - so it's a fine compromise.
