Need UPS for PC

Hi, I've just built a new computer and I want to to get a UPS to make sure my investment is protected in case of a power surge or a power outage; I've heard they can be pretty nasty when comes to frying your parts, along with messing up monitors and speakers. Is there a UPS that I can buy in Canada that can support my PC build, monitor and speakers and not be overly expensive? If so, what do you suggest?

I have small, relatively cheap Insignia speakers and I can't find the product name.

I have used a APC UPS for ages. It carries me through outages without fail.

APC has a selection app which might be a more accurate guide.
My take is that I need power only long enough to be able to shut down gracefully.

APC and Tripp Lite are the brands used by most hospitals (where I work). They've held the top spots for a while now. You can't go wrong with either.
