So i am building my first gaming PC with about 1100 to spend on the PC itself. I aim to play MW, BF5, Metro and any future games that come out. Take a look at my build and tell me if its worth it rn and if its future proof and for how long. Please give me your opinion and what you think of my build in terms of bang for your buck and future-proofing and such. I am worried that i will spend 1100 dollars one something that is not worth it or that has parts that are not worth the money. I am sure i want to build a gaming PC but i don't want to waste my money at the same time. Thanks

It's arguable if you even need a cooler, depending on if you're going to overclock or not. In your shoes I'd not bother with it and add a 1tb or 2tb standard HDD for storage, but of course that's up to you :)

I definitely agree on the 5700XT - I have one myself they're great value in terms of price to performance but a little more risky in terms of potential issues.

It's quite similar to what I would build apart from the GPU, yes. Perhaps a slightly better CPU cooler if you plan on heave oc'ing, as suggested?

What difference would be from your build and mine other than the gpu. Im sorry i don't mean to be pushy but i like to have as much info as i can to make the best choices.

Well I overclock a bit but don't overclock enough to warrant a CPU cooler so that would free up money for me to get more storage. 500GB isn't going to hold much these days. Soon that may only be enough for a couple of games and the O/S!

Very true indeed. Now what do you think of the b450 max tomahawk and the 2060 gaming x and the 3600 combo interms of 1-3 years. Would that hold me in high-ultra gaming in 1080 p as that is the max res my monitor does when i buy it?

Well I prefer the 5700XT as you know :) and have had neither of those cards - they perform less well but are more stable. The average gamer probably wouldn't notice the difference, particularly at 1080p. And yes both will comfortably get over 60fps in any game at high/ultra at 1080p and even many games at 1440. Hell I have a spare system with a GTX 980 and I-5 4590 which can still get 60fps on GTA 5 at high. I love the Tomahawk, and it's often recommended for lower or mid level gaming rigs.

Good to know, now since you saw my build and parts how long do you think this build will last me until it becomes old or bottlenecked?

Mid level rigs such as this, and what I usually get, typically last about 3 years. But like I said my spare, which was originally a lower mid level in 2015/16 is still capable nearly 5 years later, though showing its age on newest titles and would melt at 1440. It's impossible to know for sure but a good 3 years probably. 4K gaming might change everything, of course.

Wdym might change everything? And that sad to hear lol but in 3 years my new job might get me to high tier gaming as i get out of highschool in June so who knows. I hope this PC lasts me 2-3 years and by then i think i will go team blue with an powerful i9 and a 3080 ti i think but who knows lol

Trying to stay ahead of the curve will always end in failure :)

4k gaming is super expensive right now but of course it's likely to become cheaper as it develops. But I think that's a few years away for most people.

You have a CL18 RAM kit and a garbage PSU in there. You can probably try the stock cooler though before getting a better one, its not that bad per se. Modified your build with better parts...

The tighter(lower) timing you have the better performance you will get...

Not all models from EVGA or Corsair is good. Infact most of their models are made by Seasonic. Here is a Tier guide for quick reference...

Ok last question and thnaks for you help btw https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-16gb...820232898?Item=N82E16820232898&quicklink=true will that work with my board reviews are saying its optimized or something for x570 board
RAM kits are pretty flexible these days and usually tend to work universally on most chipsets. The most guaranteed way to know is to match with the board QVL but that doesnt mean the unlisted kits wont work. Its just that, its not practically possible to test all the kits with all the boards out there.
Regardless, it should work fine, although other than the bling factor, RGB doesnt add anything to performance. In fact it draws more power and produces more heat on the contrary. And that bling factor can only charm you for so long.

I decide to go with the 3200 triden z rgb as it was recommended and i could just use xmp to get those speeds the 3600 speed was giving other trouble and i would just like to avoid all of that
