This happened a few days ago. I am not able to use Japanese, Chinese, German or any other language keyboard besides English especially Japanese because that my number 2 most used language on Windows 10 anymore. I can't use Google Japanese and MSE Input. When I press Windows key + Spacebar or use my mouse to switch to Japanese, it types in alphabets. I can't type in Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji or other foreign languages !

I restarted my laptop, updated Windows Update dozens of times, troubleshoot the language input but THEY DON'T WORK! When I hover my mouse over "A" input on taskbar, it shows "IME is disabled". This got disabled someway! Help me prevent IME from ever being disabled again and to use foreign language keyboard on my laptop! I need to use language keyboards urgently !

Likewise look in Reliability History for error codes, warnings, or even informational events that you can associate with the loss of language input. Keyboard errors, for example....

Reliability History uses a timeline format so search for entries that precede the loss of language input.
