Need your help (new computer build)

Oct 22, 2009
Well I had a HP1740n system and it is on its last leg so I started buying new equipment so I can do a home build. What I have so far is the Antec 902 Case,OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI 700W ATX12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready power supply, ASUS EN9600GT/HTDI/512M GeForce 9600 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card. What is left is mobo, processor and memory. Pretty much what I would use it for is Gaming first and then listening to music would be next. I know nothing about doing sata or crossfire or dual video card mobos. Personally I dont feel the need to have more than one video card for what I am playing. So my question to you is what would be a good mobo, processor and memory for what I am looking for and would be capable to use the three items I listed. I suppose I would be open to both Intel and Amd at this point. I am leaning towards Amd because I have always used Amd before but I am by no means an expert and am open to discussion. I have no clue if one is better than the other. I thank you in advance for your input. If you suggest I replace the graphics card I could do that aswell.

To answer your question directly. You can use the CPU, MOBO, and RAM in the recommended build above.
