needed help with fraps

whenever i record gameplays with fraps it only records for 30 seconds can anyone help change it's settings

That's because you have the trial version. Either buy the full version or use a different application like ShadowPlay (Nvidia only) or OBS.

fraps only uses directx and is not OpenGL compatible so it splits the video footage. Try a program such as bandicam instead or which is OpenGL compatible. Also fraps is fully uncompressed capture footage and will take a huge amount of disk space.
