So hi guys,

I need help, my PSu fan is now old and the bearing has probably gone too old. It makes a lot of noise under some load.

The problem is i cannot find any 2 pin 120mm fans anywhere. Now i see 120mm 3 pins but then i can't find the 3-2 adapter nearby to compensate.

Can anyone suggest a 2 pin psu fan with good airflow and low db

Thanks

I am not in need of a psu replacement. What i need is simply a 2 pin FAN instead of a 3-pin fan. It is just like any other fan except 2 pins which will fit the 2 pit socket inside the PSU. There will be no soldering whatsoever involved. It is the same as changing a Casing fan in this case. The PSU fan is not soldered so i do not see why i should replace a perfectly fine 80 bucks PSU when i can change the defective fan without any trouble.

So lets begin again :) who can point me to a store where i can grab a nice 2 pin fan 120mm with nice cfm and dba.

Thanks

Just as side note there are 2 pin fans in retail. But most as of now are 135mm and i don't know why that is. And most 120 are like 4500 rpm and 60 dba which should totally be called DBZ at this point.

I realize that this is a late response, but some people may still need to know! After spending countless, fruitless hours, I finally found a fan here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N1Y4BMA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00 & here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1pcs-Ball-Bearing-12V-2Pin-12cm-120mm-120x120x25mm-DC-Brushless-Cooling-Fan-/321727971170?hash=item4ae87b3f62 I got mine off amazon. It arrived on 8/29/15 and is still going strong. If someone wants to do their own search or wiring or whatever, the connector is a "XH2.54" 2 Pin. As far as conversion cables, the best I could find was this: http://www.amazon.com/Coolerguys-Pin-Adapter-style/dp/B002FR84FY/ref=sr_1_14?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1442051899&sr=1-14&keywords=3pin+to+2pin and only when referring to the 2pin connector as a "D type."
