Hi I am looking to buy a new PC desktop (I have only owned laptops up to this point). My main purpose of the PC will be too run video editing software (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop) & for gaming (LoL, Dota, Skyrim). I am hoping to spend under $1500 if possible but my biggest issue is I know 0% about what is the best to buy.

That's where I am looking for help. I have been looking at stuff on NCIX and Newegg but it's fairly useless since I don't really know where to start. I am also looking to buy prepaid and not build my own.

Thank you for any help

Just throwing out there, building your own is like LEGOs for adults. I highly suggest you go Newegg's or NCIX's how-to video on youtube, then decide if it's something you think you can do. It's honestly pretty easy. It also will get you MUCH better parts for cheaper, and you won't be relying on the bad decisions a prebuilt designer made. (i.e. pairing a $300 i7 which gives no benefit over an i5 for gaming with a $100 GT 640, as opposed to something that actually makes sense for gaming.)

So like I said, building it yourself gives you a better computer for less money, isn't hard, and lets you feel a sense of accomplishment every time you look at your computer.

Thank you I will look into this :)
