Needing assistance on booting problem with my HP Compaq nc6220

My HP Compaq nc6220 laptop took a year switched off , when I turned it on 2 months back , I was well though the fan made much noise ,I then change the windows from xp to 10. Its then started to slow down progressively ,sometimes not booting for some hours like up to 6hrs then 4 weeks on it stopped booting for a month now ,what could be the problem? Pliz assist me!

That's an old system, could be motherboard, hard drive, RAM. Really not worth trying to fix it, you can get a much newer used system for a bit over $100. First few generations of i3,i5 systems, Lenovo T420 would be a good one to look for.
