So i bought i new PC, 2 weeks ago.

New CPU, AMD FX 8150 Bulldozer black edition.

16 gig ram , KHX1866C9D3K4/16GX Kingston 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1866MHz HyperX Genesis XMP Memory Kit CL9

and Mobo Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 AMD Socket AM3+ 8 Channel HD Audio mATX Motherboard

I have 1000 watt PSU.

Graphics card is Nvidia 570

My problem is that i am getting random BSOD and total System freezes. Sometimes saying its error 126 or other times "A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval"

I have ran prime95 for 12 hours and its stable, I have update the bios to latest version. I installed windows 8 64bit with fresh install twice, and 2 times with Windows 7. An nothing seems to work.

I have turned off all cool & quiet and boost mode. I have checked the ram for the right voltage settings . I have found my system is bit stabler is take ram speed down to 1333 or lower. but the system is still crashing.

The CPU temp is normally below 41. So its not over heading.

One of the most intresting things, i can play most games for a while, crashes maybe every hour or two hours. But if run the game "League of Legends" soon as click the play button to start the game, the system freezes up and i have hard power it down. I have no idea why LOL. I am really confused to why this would be case but i am really struggling to find a solution.

anyone able to help me?

thanks

If you're receiving that message, you must be OC'ed...

Are you sure your sensors are reading correctly? Your voltage may need an adjustment...? How much cooling do you have for your case and CPU?

The sensors are far as i am aware are working fine. I have CPU fan standard with AMD, and 4 Casefans. Not sure what the Voltage setting would be for CPU< i have tried looking bios but i don't know how setup.

Ok, is your CPU overclocked to your knowledge?

Not as far as i am aware, I have turned everything off that says about overclocking, but turbo boost and such.

It seems the RAM might be the problem, maybe try running memtest. Or try with one stick to see how it goes, and do this with each one.

+1 if your RAM is bad, that will catch it.

Ok, i spend last two days trying to workout whats causing the problem. This where i have got so far. I check the ram using memtest86 and left it running over night. No freezes was still running in morning, did this twice one which each set of 8gb. I fitted a much bigger heatsink and new thermal paste. Got new Hard drive with nothing on it but fresh install of windows 7 and drives. I changed my graphics and checked with two others. I have found when launch certain software it BSOD or just reboots without any message. So i am kind at wits end with this problem.

My old concern is that perhaps my motherboard or PSU are at fault. PSU is 1000watt. it was used for Intel chip before with two 4pin rails, So i am using one of those 4pins for the CPU. I am checked on ASUS software and its CPU is getting 12v so no issue there i think. But really i am utterly stuck what the problem is?

Does the problem occurs when you're using your PC with just one RAM stick at the time? Have you tried using other RAM sticks? If you have BSODS when launching certain software (could you specify what kind of software it's?) then I'd blame RAM or HDD. Since you've changed your HDD I'd give more attention to the RAM. I had faulty RAM sticks but they always passed all tests (memtest86) and had to be replaced anyway.

Hey Shadovraven. Well its normal freezes up from running anything that has big load, AMRA II normally last about hour then freezes but this varies sometimes as short as mins. The one program that seems to insta freeze my system is League of Legends. It lasts about 10secs after logging and then insta freeze. I just tried running the system with single ram module and tried it with each. Same crash on each module.

So i am kind running out of idea's here to what the problem is?

Could you check those sticks in another PC or use different sticks in yours? Also you've posted your cpu temps, could you post your gpu temps as well?

I do not have another DDR3 System or Ram, so there no way i can test 🙁, I tried 2 different GPU's, including 9900 Nvidia, temps are normal for both cards.

Hi there, ok my PSU is not 1000w, my bad sorry, its http://www.pcauthority.com.au/Review/75698,hiper-type-r-730w.aspx.

As for my BIOS, and windows, I have re-installed Windows 7 4 times now, and Windows 8 twice. Just re-installed windows 7 on new system. as for BIOS. i am running the M5A78L-M/USB3 BIOS 1503 which is latest build, also the recommended one for my processor. I have flashed and re-installed the Bios twice and it was successful update.

Ok, So after looking at my PSU at bit more closely i noticed that there is two sockets with two pins on the PSU. Since moving it over my system seems to be stable. I am still working out the fine tunes and want to test it over the next couple of days before i say its working, but at least its progress.

Ok, After some testing and installing of programs on new HD, the same thing is happening, I managed to play a game of League of Legends but the second match it frooze twice. I would say tho this big improvement on before. So i am thinking perhaps there some sort power issue? but i am not sure how i can check, because my cpu voltages says there fine. anyone got any idea's?

The best and safest way to find out what's causing this, would be to test your hardware with different components (different psu, mobo or ram), there's no way around if you want to be sure. To check if this may be caused by some sort of power issue you could actually try launching games, which will put a heavy load on your whole system. I believe Crysis 3, Metro 2033 or Battlefield 3 could do the trick.

Hey everyone, just wanted to say thank you for all your help. I bought a new PSU as way of testing the problem. It sovled the problem and its been 3 days since i have had a single crash. So it was a PSU issue, glad i finally got it sorted. again thank you for all your help.
