Did you check drives for any jumper pins?

Make sure that you have the drive cables correctly and securely installed/connected to the motherboard ports. The cables really need to be securely connected and will not necessarily appear loose.

If that is all okay, remove one drive and see if you can at least get booted up with one drive or the other.

Failing that, swap out the drive cables for known working drive cables and again see if you can boot with only one drive installed.

Work and that and please post again. Thanks.

Do you have two or more hard drives?

What operating system are you using?

"Select proper device" sounds as if you have a dual boot system.

You need to provide more information - especially more about the selecdtion you are being asked to make. Thanks.

yes i have a
_WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gbs 64MB

_Intel solid state ssd 535 series 240gb

and my operating system i believe is windows 8 with a amd FX-8350 FX-Series 8-Core Black Edition Processor.

also im kinda new at this so im sorry if i miss out on some information. and the thing im asking is that i finished building my gaming pc and when i turned it on it showed me on the screen to "reboot and select a proper boot drive" so i tried pressing keys and didn't work so i went in the bios and clicked on boot settings and showed me both my hard drive and ssd so i backed out of it and restarted my computer and stilled showed me the same thing and also check the wires that are attached to my power supply and my ssd and hard drive and theirs no loose wiring gowing.
