Needing Motherboard & CPU Upgrade

Current specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte EX58-EXTREME
CPU: i7 965 Extreme
Card: GTX 780
RAM: 8G

It's for a gaming pc.

Motherboard and CPU has been in my pc since late 2008.

I need a motherboard and cpu that would last with me at least 3-4 years but not that expensive.

Maybe with a budget cpu cooler too.

you could get a i5 4670k with asus maximus vi z87 (asus maximus vii z97 if more budget )

but if you have low budget so take e.g

3-)Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3
4-)ASUS Maximus VII Ranger

i would recommend z97 chipset for more futureproof


budget air cooler = Cooler Master 212 EVO

than i would suggest i7 4770k for more future proofing and vii hero ( the asus vii formula z97 have the shield which makes it look really cool it also supports more gpus and liquid cooling in the mobo too so you can go for that if you have some 100 bucks left)
