So a while ago I got a PC as an add on in a trade, guy said he no longer wanted it, he was in the process of building it and just bought a pre-built. My question is I have no clue if all these parts he had in it are compatible with eachother. This the first PC I've ever even messed with and just thought it'd be a neat project and a cool toy at the end of it. Below are the parts. Thank you to anyone who can shed some light.

Mother Board: MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming
Power Supply: ToughPower Thermaltake 750 W Gold
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K
Ram: 4x of Patriot Viper 1.5v UDIMM (2x4GB) Kit (I think part# PV38G160C9KRD)
Fan on the back of the PC is a Enermax ED122512W-OD
Graphics card: Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X

That's the only parts I know that I have and know enough to know what it's called. Cheers!

At the very least the motherboard and CPU can work together. I did not check on BIOS compatibility, but the CPU is supported.

I hope this wasn't a significant monetary value in relation to the trade. A system like this would not sell for much these days in the US market.

1. Your CPU and motherboard are compatible, and you should not need a BIOS update.
2. Your motherboard supports 1600MHz ram. Ensure they are installed on slots A2 and B2, since I noticed you said its a 2x4 set.
3. The GPU and motherboard are compatible.
4. I would recommend getting a new PSU if that one is used and older than 3 years. If it is brand new, it will be fine.

Overall your system looks fine. Like punkncat said though, I hope this PC was not more than $250-$300 bucks...
