I don’t need any of the storage on my ssd or hard drive so I should be fine just booting up and doing a fresh install of windows ?The storage on your HDD will be fien (just disconnect it during the upgrade), but a clean install on the SSD will require you to reinstall all programs and easiest to back up the data (which you should do anyway) rather than partition it or attempt an inplace upgrade method.
So short answer: yes the clean install will wipe the SSD.
And my cpu is 80cYes, but do disconnect your HDD to insure that the SRP (system reserved partition) ends up on the SSD. Then as a first step select custom install and delete all partitions on the SSD and install to the single remaining unpartitioned space.
I hope that's under full load, like Prime95 testing. This is an entirely different issue. Like what CPU, what cooling, is it overclocked, etc.And my cpu is 80c
