Hello All

was checking some of the posts, and I too have downloaded the latest
bios and corecenter software- as of last week anyway, and get the
exact same problem as one of the folks here noted.
This is that Corecenter reports USUALLY around 30 degrees C on bootup,
BUT occasionally reports a 50degree cpu temp erroneously. I noticed
that this 50c report only happens if the computer is rebooted
immediatly after turning it off. If I wait a few minutes (5 or so)and
then boot the computer, the temp reads correctly...
Also periodically I get alarm after alarm when corecenter runs in the
background. I can't figure out what the problem is as all the readings
seem within range! only the northbridge fan reads 0rpm (as it should
-there isn't one on this board as supplied) could this be the culprit,
and if so how does one get Corecenter to "smarten up"?
Thanks...

Excellent questions, I had exactly the same problems, starting from 'cold'
it would report 30 degrees and the fan would run at around 2000 rpm with
cool n quiet enabled. If I rebooted it would then report around 50C and the
fan would run full speed 3000rpm.

Having now upgraded to v 1.9 bios and the temperature is still variable but
generally higher so my fan is unnecessarily noisey! It's currently saying
42C (which it isn't) and RPM is a noisy 3245 RPM. Processor activity has
been 3% for the last 10 mins. So this seems a backward step to me.

Mike.

Thanks for posting... I'll stick with the stock bios (1.4?) that works
perfectly for me in every regard so far.
