Hi,

I recently finishing installing an Asus DRW-24B1ST DVD burner in my PC, and I wanted to check that it could successfully burn a CD-R.

I burned an ISO to disc using ImgBurn at 24x, and then ran Nero DiscSpeed to test the burned disc. When I run the Disc Quality check, it shows a quality score of 99, with about 53 C1 errors and zero C2 errors.

however, when I run the Scandisc -> Read test, it will occassionally show a few yellow blocks (indicating Damaged sectors). The strange thing is, the position of the Damaged sectors seems to change from scan to scan, even for the same disc. I am using high quality Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs, and I have tried several discs, so I'm not sure what is going on here.

Any ideas? Is my burner crappy or is it Nero DiscSpeed that is unreliable?
