Hello,

I have been seen a lot of talk about the NetBurst structure--what specifically is NetBurst? What special traits/designs make Intels current desktops NetBurst, and how does this differ from Dotan and AMD's offerings?

Sorry if my questions seem confused :) Just curious about what defines this technology.

Netburst for Intel means nothing, just like Quanti-Speed for AMD means nothing. They're simply the names these two companies have applied to their core designs, they hammed those names up for publicity.

I could make you a chair and call it Superseat Architecture if I wanted, and it would mean just as much.

Gotcha. Thanks guys. There are a lot of terms that get thrown around, and I am familiar with many, but some just make me go "hmmm". Some terms have relevance, and as you guys noted, some are generic for general features.
