Hi guys,

Today i've noticed that Netflix causes my computer to freeze every 1-2 seconds for a split second. And it only happense when i start a video on Netflix, if i just open the site i can browse lag free. I've tried this with Chrome, Firefox, Edge and even the Windows App. I have the same issue with all of them. Also have i reinstalled Silver Light and Adobe Flash Player, that didn't help either; i had the recent versions on my computer anyway. Then i went ahead and checked my CPU usage and every time my Computer freezes for that split second, my CPU usage spikes. My CPU is usually using around 5-10% while browsing. With Netflix it spikes to 20% every time i get the lag. I have noticed, that the lags with the Netflix Windows App are not as severe as with the Browsers. Also the general CPU spikes are not that high with the App. But it lags anyway. My Computer is actually quite powerful (I will post the configuration below), so it can't be the hardware that's causing this, also i have this rig for about a year now it hasn't caused me any problems so far just untill today with Netflix. Also 2 weeks ago i binged the second season of Stranger Things and i did not have this issue then. So i thought about what i changed on my PC since then and there are just a few things. I installed the newest drivers for MSI Afterburn and Rivatuner and i installed a second monitor. That's basically it. Other then that, i have only played games and watched stuff on Youtube. I hope you can help me.

Rig:

Cpu: Intel i5 7500
GPU: Sapphire R9 Fury Nitro
Ram: 16GB DDR4 Ram
OS: Windows 10 Pro
Mainboard: MSI H270M Bazooka
Download: 50 Mb/S
Upload: 10 Mb/s

You made three changes: drivers for MSI Afterburn and Rivatuner, plus a second monitor.

Reverse your changes and make them one at a time allowing a couple of days between changes.

Very good chance that one of the three is the culprit. Least of all, hopefully, being the monitor.

And use Performance Monitor and Resource Monitor to help keep tabs on what is happening. Go beyond Task Manager.

Dude, that whole situation that you went through was crazy. Let tech support know at Netflix. 'Cause that could be there problem. Lol. To update their website to adjust to your PC, and others like u.

I had to uninstall and then re-install. Also had to update that video card. And upgrade data, more gigs . Took it too Terra byte and beyond for smoother play.
