whenever i watch netflix it makes my pc stop for a second then continues. it is only netflix. youtube etc work fine. i have already reinstalled silverlight and adobe flash player. i dont know what else to do please help (all drives are up to date, all windows updates are up to date)

r9 380
fx8350
8 gigs of ddr4
(this started happening like a month ago before it was fine so its not a pc problem)

Solution

its like 1 second freeze every couple seconds and where do i see the event log?

yes it seems its stressing my cpu a lot but why would this happen all the sudden ive had the same pc for a year and it just started happening a month ago

maybe netflix changed the codec on the service and your pc has a little trouble coping with that?
is the cpu only stressed while it is happening, or also afterwards while streaming?

edit:
I remember few month agoyoutube changed their codec and my laptop ran at 100% all the time.
i removed the problem by installing 3rd party extension to change it back again.

only when im watching something on netflix

Ok and what Ghz is it running at? It could be your cpu is throttling down it's speed.

4.0 ghz and when i use netflix it skips from 3.6 to 3.9

Ok that's normal and it doesn't drop at all? Hmm it could be Nextflix has changed its decoding but I'd be surprised if your cpu couldn't run Netflix.

it drops a bit it goes from 3.6 to 3.9

Solution
This is actually a known problem with some Radeon graphics cards recently. There are a lot of posts on AMD's forums about it. From what I've read the only solution people have found is rolling back your driver to 17.10.01

Had the same Problem for half a year and just fixed it. I uninstalled all Microsoft visual redistributables ( like 20 or so ) and then made a fresh new install of my graphic drivers ( uninstalling all the old amd stuff, restarting, downloading the latest and then install) now my pc only stutters while moving the netflix window but there is no Problem with watching on my second Monitor while gaming or whatever on my main one. No laggs or stutters. Hope I could help you

Edit: Specs are I5 6600k @4.6ghz & r9 380
