So, I recently built a new computer 3 weeks ago. For some reason Netflix is choppy. This is only one example that I am trying to show. And alot of the times chrome becomes unresponsive. I feel like it has something to do with memory. I have 16gb 3600mhz cl 16 ram. 3700x, 2070 super, b450 thm.

What could the issue be or is 16gb simply too low, my memory is usually no higher than 60% usage when watching netflix (fornite open in the background)

Why would you use Wifi? You know the range at where you get 90% of the speed is something like 0-2 metres? After that it tapers off fast. 5 metres away it is something like 25%. If there is any walls inbetween, even worse. Avoid if possible.

Could be time to reboot router as well if it's acting up.
Is there a setting in Netflix where you get to choose how much it downloads as buffer? If there is, increase it.
Has this issue presented for weeks, or just within the last couple of days?

If you are in the US, there have been reports of DDoS attacks all week to various cell and internet providers.
Good question, not really sure but it definitely has become noticeable the past few days so that's what I will go with, the past few weeks. What are ddos attacks and why would chrome and netflix malfunction

Netflix uses inernet bandwidth so if someone is attacking a node between you and netflix's server, you will get poorer connection and lag. Not enough bandwidth.

If Fortnite uses 60% that doesn't leave you with 8 gigs.
my wifi has been acting up lately and also when i say choppy, the picture freezes for like three seconds but you can still hear the audio while its frozen and then the video just catches up
