Netflix making me lag, cant play games

My family is constantly watching netflix, and i cant enjoy any games, sometimes i just want to play with friends, but ive got 500ping. I have a second router, and was wondering if it was possible to make a second network or something, so we can have two seperate connections. Im not sure if this is a stupid question, but thanks in advance.

I highly doubt adding a second connection would help at all as it would still use the same physical connection to the property. Basically, I can draw the conclusion that your family's constant Netflix watching is using a lot of bandwidth and as such, your speed is being dropped dramatically. Other than adding another physical line into the property or asking them to reduce their usage, there's not a lot else that you can do. Sorry.

2nd router wont help without a second internet connection

I would try setting up QoS on your router if it has it. You can prioritize gaming traffic over video traffic. This will cause the video traffic to have a higher latency but it doesn't really matter.
