Netflix no video/only sound on external HP monitor

Hi. I have an Alienware laptop with Windows 10. It is connected to a HP Spectre 32" display. The display resolution is 3840x2160. The HDMI connection is through a HDMI port on the monitor that supports HDCP.
My graphics card is GTX 980M.
When I try to watch Netflix either on the Edge browser or on the Windows app I get only sound and no video on the monitor.
On the laptop screen I get both sound and video.

This problem is only for Edge and the Windows app. I get both sound and video on Chrome on both the laptop screen and the monitor.

Any ideas on what is causing this?

1| Make sure your GPU drivers are up to date with drivers off of Nvidia.
2| Perform a repair install.
3| If the issue is apparent on only Edge then I'd suggest that you stick to Chrome or Firefox and be done with it. Often the issue is found with apps and the new platform's workings.

I'm also assuming your following instructions for using a secondary display as per this tutorial...?
