Recently bought a new Netgear A6100 wifi USB adapter (802.11ac dual band) installed drivers from disk, and system says its working properly; however it's not fully connected to wifi says "No Internet, secured) old TP-Link adapter still works fine. Is there any fix to this? Friend suggested I should just get a PCI wifi card.

Solution
Those small dongles like that are not the optimum device to be using on a desktop but that is not the cause of your issue.

What this means is your are connected to your router but for some reason it can't pass traffic.

Use the IPCONFIG /all and see if you getting proper IP addresses. See if you can ping your router and also try 8.8.8.8

Be very sure you are connected to what you think you are maybe it connected to a neighbors open router that is blocking internet.
