Hi,
I've just bought and setup the Netgear EX6120 extender but there is a bit of a problem. The OPEN wifi (without encryption) called NETGEAR_EXT is all the time enabled and I cannot find a way to switch it off. Even worse, this wifi has internet access without any authentication. In other words, anybody can connect to my ISP and use it.

This sounds incredible but I tried everything and this open network is till there without any restriction ...

How can I disable completely this open network once I've setup my Netgear range extender?

Firmware Version: V1.0.0.46_1.0.29
Model: EX6120|AC1200 Dual Band WiFi Range Extender

cheers

yes I read the pdf docs

http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/EX6120/EX6120_UM_25Aug2015.pdf

They explain that the open NETGEAR_EXT is used for the initial setup (which makes sense) but no mentions about how the disable it once my setup is complete.

In the admin page of the extender, there is nothing about that open network neither.

In the meantime, I tried resetting to factory settings and doing the configuration again. I do have the latest firmware.
