Netgear MA521 Windows 98SE Wifi Problem

So, I have a laptop with Windows98se. I installed a netgear MA521 wifi pci card on the laptop yet I still don't have internet (i.e. I try to open ie5 and I'm told there is no connection). The drivers were successfully installed, the PCI card is lit up, and the icon in the system tray is green (i.e. it is connected to the wifi and working)..yet still no connection?

Please help!

sometimes it's not that simple. you may need to manually bind TCP/IP to your adapter, and manually set it up with an IP address, and stuff.
