Netgear R6300 Router - Internet Light is Amber

I can't get the router to show a green light for "internet light". I have done many things and no success. Anybody has any suggestion?

Here is what I have done:
-Reset router to factory setting
-Reset network in different ways and sequence possible, I believe, waiting several minutes on each step (all than unplug power cables thing)
-Call ISP and reset the modem (computer works when connected directly to modem)
-Upgraded firmware (at least the Genie software doesn't show a "upgrade firmware" note as before.

Change the cable. Get a brand new cat5 or better (cat5, cat5e, cat6).
