NetGear router IP change to automatically

Hello all,

I using one Netgear wireless router and I have assigned few static IPs from my ISP.

For last few week my router IP change automatically from "Use static IP address"(182.XXX.XXX.XXX) to "get dynamically from ISP" (192.168.1.101).

Because of this my client are not able to connect my work place

Please help me to get it resolved..

Unless the router is faulty and "forgets" settings, someone changes this intentionally.

No one else have control in router except me and I'm sure there is not a chance of changing by someone

maybe the router is faulty as you said

But how do I confirm?? Any idea??

Change a non-vital setting you can easily check (eg router name, WiFi SSID etc).
If the router resets, you can see whether these settings have returned to defaults

So to clarify, your ISP appears to be setting the router to 192.168.1.101? This sounds more likely to be an internal address on your network, not something the ISP would either need or want to control. Similarly, having a router try and use 182.168.1.101 seems as unlikely too.

Are you sure you're not confusing the routers internal and external IP addresses? When you go to change your router settings, which address do you type into your Web browser to access your routers settings.
