netgear router issue?

Ive got a netgear RT311 router and for some reason i now cant connect to any
q3 servers with it. I just get to the awaiting challenge screen and it
doesnt get any further. Is this happening to anyone else? I can connect ok
without it. Its been happening for two days so far.

Thanks. What fixed it for me was that i put this command in my hosts file

127.0.0.1 authorize.quake3arena.com
