I was browsing the Internet when I suddenly got a bsod, it implied on the screen that the netgear adapter had caused it. After I'd booted back up I tried to look for the bsod log, but it wasn't generated and my network adapter could no longer search for connections ,so I checked device manager to see that my adapter was now showing up as a remote wireless adapter.

I tried reinstalling the software, downloading the newest driver software and manually in string the driver via device manager but nothing worked. When I tried to install it i was given the error 0x0000001f and the installation would just hang if I installed it manually i got a device attached to this system is not functioning.

I'm on windows 7 64 sp 1. Hope I didn't miss anything out lol.

Thanks in advance
Ps sorry for the errors typed this on phone. Oh and I have no restore points

But it was working perfectly until the random bsod has been for years.

Update: I tried using the adapter on a laptop a friend borrowed me and it worked perfectly, so It's not the adapter fault. Really would appreciate some advice on how to repair this on my computer.
