NetgearWPN824 config issue

Netgear's printed instructions with its wireless WPN824v2 router clearly say to do the following to change the router's configuration:

"Simply open a browser andlog in to the router at http://www.routerlogin.net. The user name is admin and the password is password, in lower case letters."

What could be more simple, right? Wrong. No uppercase or lowercase variation of 'password' works -- try it for yourself.

If you know a workaround for this 'simple' task, I'd appreciate hearing it.

Hi there,

I have a netgear router (not the same model though). I have seen this in the manual for your model and am unsure how its meant to work. Maybe someone else can enlighten us.

However the usual way to login to the router would be to open a web browser and type http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 depending on the model. A login screen appears and you use the username a password given in your manual.

Yes thats correct user name: admin password: password but the porblem is the browser is keep log in and cannot open.
