I just now connected my brand new SSD with Windows 7 (64 bit) into my PC as its new main operating drive. Everything is working fine except for the fact that I cannot connect to the internet.
My PC is (and always was back when I had a different OS Drive) hard connected to my router by an Ethernet Cable. However, when I try to connect to the internet in the network and sharing center, it says I need to download drivers for my network adapter.
I went to the netgesr site and found what I assumed to be the drivers. They did not work.
From what I can tell, I need drivers for the netgear n600 model WNDR3400v2, but cannot find them or any that work.

You need to get the drivers for you Network Adapter (NIC) - this different then the firmware (the software on your router). Open up Device Manger and look under "Network Adapters" - Your Ethernet chip/brand should be listed. You need to update the driver for that.

Also, If you could open up a command prompt and please type;

ipconfig /all

and also;

arp -a

and please post results.

Print screen wouldn't work on my pc so I had to take those pictures with my phone.
I input the command prompts you asked me to in the first picture.
The second is of my disc manager. I found no networking specific options, but I did find ones under "other" that were related to networking.

The other image doesn't seem to be loading so I'm posting the link here

Okay so your system just needs the NIC drivers, if you notice under "Other Devices" there is the Ethernet Controller listing (this is your NIC). Right-click this, and click properties, and then update the driver from the Internet. If Windows cannot find a driver, we will have to figure out the brand/manufacturer of your NIC and get driver from their website.

As you can see with the ipconfig output there are no devices listed-Windows needs drivers (essentially this will "install" your network card)

The port is built in the the Motherboard. I have a gigabyte 990fx- UD3 series board. I would also like to mention that the port works, as its the same one I used before I changed my storage and OS
