Network Adapter Compatible w/ Win7 64-bit?

Solution
Of course, man.

Ther's... hmm. That's a very old motherboard, so I can see why you're having issues.

I would try to get in contact with Nvidia. Failing that, you can buy an add-in Ethernet controller (i.e. an expansion card that has an Ethernet port to plug into to get internet) for all of about $20.

Thank you for the super fast response! I don't know if I have a stand-alone ethernet controller, or even what that is, I'm sorry :\
However, I looked up what motherboard/chipset I have and found that it's a NVIDIA nForce 720i MCP. So I took that information and went to Nvidia's website to find my drivers and I found this:
http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/30520/en-us
That looks to me like it should be what I need but I installed it and my computer is still telling me that I have no network adapter driver installed. Also, when I go the device manager I see an expandable menu named "Other Devices" and under that is one named "Ethernet Controller" that has a yellow exclamation point next to it. Under it's properties it says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (code 28)"

Ahhhh, man, really? The motherboard is super old? That sucks! I got this computer for free and was super excited because the other specs are on par with my PC which died a few days ago.
Alright, I'll call Nvidia directly tomorrow. If all else fails I'll look into the expansion card you mentioned.

Thanks for the information and help, DarkSable. Even if it wasn't good news for me you've been great and I appreciate it!

Well, it's not ridiculously old, but it's about five years old - that's old enough that hunting down driver support for it is going to be difficult. It's been long enough that I was thrown for a huge loop when I saw that the motherboard was made by Nvidia. 😛

I wish you the absolute best of luck with the call, and hope it gets you what you need!
