Network adapter crashes PC when installing

I just recently added a new SSD for boot replacing my HDD which is still being used in the pc. I had to reinstall my wifi adapter which is being detected in device manager under other devices as Network Controller. I tried installing the driver software but as soon as it gets to the please wait screen the entire computer freezes, i tried also doing this on the device manager by updating driver but as soon as it comes to installing driver the computer freezes again.

My computer specifications:
i7 7820x
Asrock Taichi x299
16gb DDR4
750W Modular Bronze
GTX 1080ti
wifi adapter: PCE-AC88 ( https://www.asus.com/au/Networking/PCE-AC88/ )

Storage devices
3TB Toshiba
1TB Western Digital
500gb Samsung Evo 970 m.2
120gb Intel SSD

Yes, I also had went and deleted the files that were created after failed installations.
i also installed it on another computer and it works fine
