Network adapter disconnects when trying to connect to my 5Ghz network

I have a Linksys AE2500 and windows just updated my computer and my 5ghz network isn't able to conenct to the adapter anymore. I didn't have this problem before the update. I can connect to the 2.5ghz network and the 5ghz shows up but once I try to connect the adapter shuts off and turns back on..

Help would be very appreciated

This sounds like a software issue. I would try resetting your network (windows 10?).

In search enter "Network Status" and hit enter. At the bottom of the page you will see "network reset".
