I am in the process of helping a friend with debugging an issue with her network adapter. She moved to a new place with a new router and the PC's network adapter keeps dropping connection and needs to be reset. When the connection drops the adapter cannot find any of the many nearby networks. When the network diagnostic tool is run it is able to reconnect once the network adapter is reset.

So the only thing thats changed is the router/modem. We checked and the adapter appears to be running on the latest drivers. Her PC is an Alienware pre-built (not sure the model) with a Dell 1550 802.11ac adapter. It is running Windows 10. Router is an Arris BGW210-700. Her other devices seem to have no connection issues whatsoever.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Are the other devices wired or wireless?

Make and model wireless network adapter?

If the computer has been moved check that all connections and components are fully and firmly seated.

Has the wireless network adapter been reconfigured to match the new router?

Windows 10 - try running Windows' built in network troubleshooters.

Run and post the results of "ipconfig /all" (without quotes) via the command prompt.

Other devices are wireless

I believe the adapter is a Broadcom DW1550

I am assisting remotely, so I not able to inspect the internals

For configuring the adapter to the new router, any particular settings we should look at?

The Win 10 troubleshooter was run I believe, completes after resetting the adapter, log doesnt report anything of interest (as far as I can see): View: https://imgur.com/a/kf22Hao

Thanks again for your advice
