Network adapter no longer recognised/working? Asus.

Morning/Afternoon/Evening

I'll jump straight to it. I was playing a little Euro Truck Sim 2, installed some mods, closed it and everything was smooth. Went to play it the next day and my PC crashed, tried again, crashed, repeat cycle. Couldn't even get it to play long enough to disable mods. Then it appeared that there were dead pixels on the monitor, so I thought maybe the GPU was artifacting, bearing in mind they were just the odd pixels all over the show and then when I played a YouTube video the PC would crash. But temps were totally normal. So I replaced the GPU, everything works fine, but now the ethernet port is not working. Or even recognised I don't think. I've tried different ethernet cables (that work with my laptop), I've tried reinstalling drivers and I've even done a system restore and still no look. Could it be that the motherboard (Asus M5A99FX Pro 2.0) has failed or something which may have caused the GPU to appear as though it was artifacting?

Sounds more like a driver problem to me, if you swapped the graphics cards and the replacement one was working fine. Try updating your bios and see if that works. Otherwise try and find the most stable drivers for your graphics card and motherboard.

INSTALLED THE DVD AUTO RUN LOADED THE DRIVERS LISTED AS AMD WHICH ARE ONLY THREE SHUT DOWN THE UNIT RESTARTED IT WENT TO INTERNET EXPLORE AND IT SAID YOU HAVE A OUT DATED VERSION WOULD YOU LIKE TO LOAD AN UPDATED ONE CLICKED YES THEN LOADED WINDOWS TEN THE REST IS WHAT YOU ARE SEEING. I LOOKED FOR WEEKS FOR THE RIGHT DVD I HAVE A STACK OF NONE WORKING DVD BUT THIS ONE HAS THE AMD DRIVER

Failed hardware was the problem and a replacement motherboard was the solution.
