Network Adapter under Device manager doesn't show wireless connection

I have recently installed Windows 8.1 after removing Endless OS (Linux) from my Acer Aspire 5 A515-51G-50UW laptop.
In Linux, my wireless was working just fine. After installing Windows, I can't find any wireless adapters in my device manager. Not sure how/which driver to install. Tried installing Acer drivers from Acer official website but it doesn't help. Also, Intel driver and support assistant shows all drivers are A-okay and there's no problem after using windows troubleshooting as well.
Tried with all methods listed here: https://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-8/ultimate-windows-8-wifi-troubleshooting-guide/ but nothing helps in my case.
I have hit a dead end. Would like some help.
