So I have a spare router (smcwbr14s-n2) and I'd like to use it to bridge my network, I bought a couple of powerlines so technically im connecting my hub to the router via ethernet, but i only managed to setup the router to create a new network with a new name to redistribute the signal, and I cant manage to bridge it. Can someone help? Thanks!

Solution
Don't set the WAN to a static. Leave it as dynamic IP. You aren't going to use the WAN port anyway. That is why you connect the ethernet cable to a LAN port on the second router.

Question from DoruSonic : "Netwrok bridge (smcwbr14s-n2)"

I have a hub (getting signal from my ISP), but i have another router (smcwbr14s-n2). I bought a couple powerlines that are working, connected to the router hoping to bridge the signal, put i can only make the router create a new network on its own and have another IP pool (192.168.2.# while the hub and powerlines are on 192.168.1.#). Can someone help me? Thanks!

thing is I cant set LAN to 192.168.1.# because it then says theres a conflict with the subnet between WAN and LAN, so having DCHP on or off is not even relevant

Your term "hub" is part of the confusion. Is it a modem or is it a router? My original post was assuming it was a router and that you wanted an additional WIFI source. That would require an access point.

I would recommend you do a factory reset on your smcwbr14s-n2 so that you have a known state. The WAN usually defaults to DHCP. Then disable DHCP on the smcwbr14s-n2, set the wireless the way you want it then connect to the LAN port on the smcwbr14s-n2. You may not be able to get to the admin pages of the smcwbr14s-n2 but you shouldn't need to.

The hub is a router yes, and router 2 (the smc) is connected via ethernet to the hub. The WAN options are to set to dynamic IP, static, PPToE and all that. on LAN I can disable Dhcp but I need to set up an IP.
The set up I was trying is set Wan to static 192.168.1.189 and LAN I can't put anything 192.168.1.# or it says subnet conflict, if I set it to anything on 192.168.2.# it functions like a different network.
I can take some pictures if it helps

Thank you! It is now working!
It seems i had slightly better performance when connecting to WAN but its just a couple of MB.
If it isnt asking too much, out of curiosity, can you try to explain why you connect to LAN instead of WAN? shouldnt WAN be the input of the signal and the LAN the output of it?
