Something very strange is going on with my hope network connection. There are 3 laptops connected to my network over WiFi and one desktop through Ethernet. All three laptops have high internet speeds like 4.5-5.3 Mbps but my desktop is getting like .5 I have turned off the WiFi router to plug in just my laptop with the SAME Ethernet cord and it was fine (same high Mbps) so its just my desktop and I'm not sure what it would be. My desktop is running windows 8.1 the only recent thing i have installed is bit defender antivirus and i have completely disabled that and uninstalled and re-installed it to make sure that wasn't it. I have also updated the driver for my Ethernet on my desktop.

here are some different results from speed test:

Desktop: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4210784220

laptop with Ethernet: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4210870998

any help would be greatly appreciated I just cant figure this one out!

im saying only my desktop has a wired connection directly to the modem and has bad speeds but laptops connected to the wifi router gets good speeds

My modem has 4 ports in the back one goes to my desktop one goes to the wifi router and one goes to a phone converter
