When I shut down and restart 2 temp files are created in the c:windows folder. They are named 3ffff383848939gggd.tmp (or something similar. This doesn't happen when I delete the Client for Microsoft Network in the My Network Properies. I use a cable modem and this happens with both my ethernet cards. Any ideas???
It's not a serious problem because it doesn't happen with the Client Deleted it's just odd....

Probably, client's names are registered on a temporary basis, which means that the same name can be used later by a different host, if the name no longe be used, such as when the computer is shut down, the client sends a message to the server to release it.
Don't remember exactly, sorry if info is't correct.
