Network drivers

I was removing spyware from my computer when I was disconnected from the internet and I'm now unable to connect.

Windows is telling me it's the drivers, so I reinstalled the Atheros8132 driver and I'm not seeing an error on that adapter now.

After installing the atheros8132 driver, the internet still wouldn't work. I tried running in safemode with networking and still could not connect.

Is this from a virus? Are there any drivers I could install?

This could be anything so you need to go right through the process of setting up a new connection to your router. Can you ener the router's address in Internet Explorer and see the login page? Find the metholodology in Post 3 inf this thread http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/28102-18-suppoort-setupwirless then post back if you can get that far, log in and see that your Broadband connection is a good one.[/#000ff]

I think I should have made this a bit clearer.

I've been able to connect to this router in the past, with the same computer.

My computer is unable to even list the available routers.

Photo shows the only connection available is LAN and that no networks are detected.

Sorry - I didn't look at th ephotograph and only wondered why this post was in the Wireless Boards. If the NIC is showing as the only network adapter in Device Manager, and you can't see a wireless networks list, it seems the wireless adapter isn't turned on or properly working.[/#000ff]

Found a way to fix it, had to uninstall Ethernet drivers in safe mode, then install the WLAN drivers.

Still puzzled concerning how this happened.
