Question Network Hard Drive suggestions

I am looking for suggestions on New Network Hard Drive with Ethernet connection.

Currently I am using Seagate Central hard drive on my network. This is 6 years old and looks like this will go out anytime.
Once in a while it will stop working, once I reboot it will start again.

I need to replace this in near future, I did some Google search of course there is lot of information, confusing.

I am looking for following features;

1. Ethernet connection
2. 1 Tb capacity or higher ( This is for home use so 1 TB is more than needed)
3. Simple to connect to network
4. Connection to this drive from outside ( remote) is helpful but not required.

Please give me some suggestion, which will help me to acquire one.

Get a commercial bring-your-own-disk (BYOD) NAS unit like a Synology, QNAP or Thecus. You can put whatever size disks you desire in them. The Synology DS218j is an excellent entry point -- https://www.synology.com/en-us/products/DS218j

Is this Seagate Central already an ethernet? U maybe able to just open it and replace the drive inside.
