Network lagging while others downloading

Hi. My internet speed is 100 mbps and whenever I download something, the speed is around 10-14 mb/s. Both me and my brother are connected to the wifi via ethernet, but whenever I download something, he starts to get high ping or vice versa. Is there anyway to fix this by prioritizing his game ping over my maximum download speed?

option 1: throttle- program level, ip level via limiters,manually pause downloads, etc
option 2: qdisc QoS- fq_codel via edgerouter X, ddwrt, openwrt, or ipfire. this is the only viable qdisc for bufferbloat. all the others are bad. only ipfire can handle speeds over 150Mbs. you have to check the speeds the device can hit. $50 ERX can do 100-120ish. ddwrt/openwrt will be all over because they can be put on many routers, can't personally vouch for any.
