Network printer not printing on Mondays? WTF?

Hi,

a customer of mine is complaining that his network printer does not print on specific days of the week, such as Mondays. Apparently, this strange issue happened another days of the week as well.

It goes like this. He would print out sthg , the windows software would not complain at all, but the printer remained silent. Oddly enough, he says that sometimes it does get printed, but like several days later. Apparently, he is the only one at the small office with this problem. It's a small wired network in a law firm.

could be two things...one is a virus....the other is someone is turning his print cue on and off.

Is the printer going to sleep over the week-end and not waking back up when being printed to. If it's set to go to sleep after 24 hours of no prints, then it is probably good through the week when it gets a job every day, but Saturday after 5(or so) when it's been 24 hours, it goes to sleep. Can you ping the printer on Monday mornings?.

Have a look at advanced setting in the printer properties and make sure it is set to print all of the time.
