I was playing a game on steam and then suddenly I lost internet connection, its unusual since it never happend before.
I tried restarting the router and my pc didn't work. Ok lets try cmd
I typec Ipconfig /release so good so far
Ipconfig /renew then i get "Windows IP Configuration" i cant type anything...
Ok waited and now it says an error occured while renewing interface Ethernet : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request timed out.

Help would be much appriciated!
Thanks in advance!

You restarted the router - meaning you just turned off the power, waited a couple of minutes, and then restored power - correct?

Make and model router? Who has admin rights to the router?

You may need help from that person to restore network and/or internet connections.

Its a ZTE model its a home internet, i have access to it.

I tried accessing the login page with my pc but i couldnt so i loged in on my phone went to lan activated DHCP to see if it would help then went to cmd again released the ip twice and somehow i got internet again and i dont know how that bugs me.

Could have just been a simple glitch somewhere. Hopefully just a fluke that will not happen again.

Be proactive and keep a close eye on your devices and configuration settings.

If the disconnects continue, there may be some common factor to the disconnects or a pattern perhaps.

Ensure that all network cables and power connections are fully and firmly in place. Have another known working Ethernet cable handy if you suspect that an existing cable is the source of the problem.

Make changes, if necessary, but only one at a time. Keep notes and be ready to reverse or undo any change that did not "work out".
