Network problems

Hello
Was hoping someone could help me with a little problem, will try and keep it short

In the apartment we are renting we get our internet from the people we rent from, they shared the network with something down to us so we could connect a wireless router from outlet in the living room to our things.
3 months ago they managed to break their thing and got a dlink router as a replacement, i know this due to the fact that we get their signal with 1 bar in the bathroom.
We have a dlink router as well but this will not be able to get us online anymore, however with a switch we will be able to get online using cabels.
But the wife finds it annoying to have 3 x 25m cabels going from the living room- kitchen- bedroom/bathroom doors, and as you know an irritated wife may easily find it in the best manners to removed them completely.

So what im hoping for is any way to get back to wireless ( preferable in a easy way as im not so good with networks at all)
Any tips?

Try changing the wifi channel on your router; there might be interference now with your landlord's new router.

uhm, how do i do that?
cant find any setting with that option.

would it work if i vent to the store and got them a switch to use insted of the dlink router? like plug and play?

Try to use you router as a AP. Disable the DHCP and plug the lan port into the wall jack. Now your router is a wireless switch. If the ports work but the wireless does not I would reset the router and reconfigure it from the start something is messed up

Log into your router and look at the advanced wifi settings. There will be an option to change the channel. The default is usually channel 6, and good options are to use 1 or 11.

hmm, cant find the channel option your talking about.

if i try to change something on the 3'rd pic i get lan to wan error or someting.

man, why could it not be so easy as buy the people we rent from a switch to share the network and let us plug and play a router

OK, on your router it looks like you need to choose the regular setup then the wireless setup, then choose manual setup to get to the page that allows you to change the channel.

That didnt work, they where running channel 11 though.
Is there not anything i can buy and giver to them for sharing instead of a router so qe can easily used ours?
